The Project
Teaser: Metal Pin Kickstarter
This will be an upcoming project which features backstamped recycled metal pins of the original six characters! More info & link to follow upon its release.
This project works to showcase disabilities through stickers, keychains and other items to show Pride where society has often instilled shame. The specialization for these projects is hidden disabilities, including but not limited to ADHD, autism, and fibromyalgia. All artistic depictions are made with love and care to represent these conditions respectfully and avoid stereotyping, and are done with either lived or close-hand experience with individuals with the disability. I will not portray any conditions I do not feel confident enough in with my life experience for this reason. This page will be updated periodically as test samples of items are manufactured. If you would like to be updated when they are up for sale or look into what’s currently available for purchase, please look into the contact links & shops below.
The Creator
The voice in charge of this project is EggsFennedict, a disabled queer woman and animal lover. Having interests which overlap with STEM, unsung wildlife, and an egregious amount of bad puns, I meld these to my work and work with audiences I feel are underrepresented. As someone who worked part time in my college’s office of accessibility, I also advocate for everyone’s right to accessible education, architecture, and event planning with everyone taken into account. While this project is my artistic representation and way of giving back to the community, I am also a writer & aspiring novelist with several short stories. These writings also have similar themes of fantasy & sci-fi used to breathe life to the queer disabled experience. I’m always open to questions!
